Latvian airline airBaltic announces that as of March 2026 it has enhanced its onboard experience with the introduction of Skynet, an innovative digital platform available to all travellers on their personal devices throughout the flight.

Powered by airBaltic’s Starlink internet connectivity, Skynet brings key in-flight services and information together in a single digital portal. Designed to enhance in-flight customer experience, it provides passengers with fast, personalised access to flight details, destination information and exclusive onboard offers across a range of services and shopping.

The portal is free to use once passengers connect to the Starlink internet and requires no downloads or registration. Available in Latvian, English, Estonian, and Lithuanian, Skynet highlights the airline’s move toward seamless digital service experience.

Thomas Alexander Ramdahl, Chief Commercial Officer at airBaltic: “Skynet marks an important step in how we are redefining the on-board digital journey. By bringing services, real-time flight information and carefully selected partner offers into one seamless platform powered by Starlink, we are making the travel experience more convenient, entertaining and personalized for our passengers, especially to our airBaltic Club loyalty members. We will continue enhancing the platform by introducing more tailored onboard offers, including convenient in-seat ordering and payment options directly from our menu.”

During the flight, by selecting Starlink internet, passengers will be able to automatically access the Skynet portal by scanning a QR code in the Baltic Outlook in-flight magazine or by using the airBaltic Club app, thereby ensuring access to the platform. Once connected, passengers can track their flight in real time, with all key journey details available in one place, including the flight number, duration, departure and arrival times, connecting flights at RIX Riga Airport, and live updates.

In addition, passengers can browse the digital airCafe menu directly on their device, read the airBaltic blog, or plan their trip ahead by exploring local attractions at their destination. Accommodation, car rental, and attractions are offered through our partners, such as GetYourGuide, Booking.com, and SIXT.

Passengers can also shop from thousands of their favourite brands via the AirMall platform, a personalized retail solution powered by InterLnkd. Importantly, all partner services and eligible purchases made through Skynet allow loyal customers to earn points within the airBaltic Club loyalty programme, making every journey even more rewarding. Through Skynet, passengers can also access exclusive partner offers available only during the flight. Additional information about accessing the portal will be featured on the cover of the onboard magazine Baltic Outlook, where a QR code will allow passengers to reopen the portal at any time during the flight, if needed.

Over the past 30 years, airBaltic has evolved into a globally respected carrier. Now the airline is connecting the Baltic States to 80 destinations across Europe and beyond, providing essential infrastructure and global connectivity for the region.
